2009-07-30 23:25:50 While a lot of people I know rave about this place, I'll admit that I wasn't impressed at all. I had a birthday cake from here a few years ago and wasn't pleased with the "chunks" in the frosting (which I'm guessing was butter not mixed in thoroughly). After that experience I was skeptical about trying a cupcake at a party more recently (this year). Again, the experience was disappointing. The vanilla cake tasted like a boxed mix and was very dry while the frosting (though much smoother) had a sugary sweet and very artificial taste. I also find the prices unreasonable for the quality of the products. For anyone in Rochester, I'd recommend the Little Bakery or Goodness Cakes Bakery. In my opinion, they're products come closest in quality to some of my favorite (and nationally ranked) bakeries including Georgetown Cupcake (D.C.) and Buttercup Bakeshop (NYC). —politigal89
2009-08-23 18:24:01 I am completely impressed with vanilla swirl. I ordered daisy cookies for my wedding shower and they were outstanding! Each cookie was decorated with precision and packaged perfectly. Price was great but the best part was the taste. I would definitely recommend vanilla swirl. —fatcat
