Script to automate link checking - requested by BradMandell: Ryan reports that he has written a script to comb rocwiki and look for dead links. Dead links will appear on another page. The script is memory-intensive and needs more work before it can be turned loose on our 12,000 external links.

Gone But Not Forgotten process: Damian will edit the GBNF process page to reflect our desire to keep as many links in place as possible, but remove the address and a few other key bits.

LocalWiki development: Ryan met with Philip Newsome of LocalWiki while in the San Francisco area in June 2011. He reports that there is a functioning LocalWiki software! We should consider whether we will move to the new software, and how this migration should happen. (Updated with links to local test instance and transition-related tickets in bug tracker, -rt 2011/07/07)

Newdigs : A local business, Newdigs, has been adding their links to our apartment pages. They have also published a neighbourhood guide with links to their own website. Newdigs doesn't want their links deleted from our pages (which has happened), nor do we want links to their site appearing to be the landlord's or an official website. We ask PeteB to work with Kristin and Ben to come up with a template for apartments and rental properties. This leads to other questions: (1) what have other community wikis done with third-party content? and (2) should we develop more small icons to show that a link goes offsite to a particular website?
-
T-shirts: Pete's t-shirt was shared. We note its blurry image and note that could be improved. The consensus was that the t-shirt was too blah. Even white on black would be an improvement. Crazy Dog in Village Gate was mentioned as a source. Pete's shirt came from zazzle. Damian will look at creating some artwork for the shirt.

Mobile site: Damian reports that the problem is pictures. Do we drop the pictures or put them on another page? Ryan doesn't want to create a m.rocwiki.org site — one URL for each resource, only. LocalWiki will better support mobile users.
