History
Bellini's Italian Eatery was an upscale Italian eatery with an extensive wine list. They were located across from Eastview Mall, near Borders Bookstore in the former Houlihans restaurant. Owner has two other Bellini's in the Albany area and one in Connecticut.
They accommodated gluten and dairy concerns. Vegetarian (hearty salads, pizzas, some appetizers and several pasta entrees). Low carb (antipasto platter, several steaks and veal dishes without pasta). Could seat over 220 people.

2007-07-19 22:33:14 Always pleasant to eat at, but the bill adds up quick, even with only one drink each. Luckily my boyfriend and I had a $50 gift certificate last time! If I had more money to spend, I would eat there more often. Eating in the bar area is especially nice. —SaraChristine
2007-09-08 23:14:07 The decor and ambiance are quite tasteful. Crisp linen napkin and three-piece cutlery. The waitress was very sweet, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The bread was very fresh and warm and the dipping spice mix in olive oil was also good. The eggplant appetizer was good - perhaps a little too much cheese for my taste, though - but it was so massive in portion that it was enough for all three of us! Two of us ordered entree items that were slightly altered from the menu, and they were more than happy to do it. My wife's vegetarian pasta plate had a LOT of vegetables; and my sausage pasta plate was spicy (good!) and plentiful. All of us brought home much leftovers - I measured them, they were around 1.8 lbs each! Entree price $15 to $20 each. —GeorgeJegadesh
2007-09-12 14:08:08 Went here for lunch and got the prosciutto panini. It had ONE piece of prosciutto, and a small one at that. Also had a huge mess of cheese.
Oh yeah, and the food took over 30 minutes to come out. And they weren't busy. Water glasses were **never** refilled.
This could be overlooked if the food was decent, but it wasn't. Another boring Italian place for Rochester. —MarcVera
2007-11-22 14:16:53 Sorry to hear you had horrible service perhaps you should have addressed it with a manager or asked what was taking so long. The food is fantastic and freshly made. I always believe you should give a place more than one chance. —NightlifeCher
2008-05-06 15:58:06 Great food and large portions. My penne vodka with broccolini was delicious. Recommended. —MrRochester
2008-09-17 21:27:49 Had lunch here last weekend and was thrilled with the experience. Entrees were wonderful, plentiful, and moderately priced ($12-15), and included bread with dipping oil, soup/salad, and two delicious mini cannelloni. Service was a little slow, especially as we finished our meal (I suspect our waiter was eating his lunch as well), but we left happy and look forward to returning many times. —GreenBrenana
2009-01-11 00:25:11 My wife and I ate here for the 2nd time. The first time wasn't that great but I believe in giving a place a second chance. The food was good but the server was "somewhere else"! I finished my glass of wine and asked for another. She forgot. When she came over to see how everything was, I had to remind her about the wine. She walked by several times and I never did get my wine. We'll never go back here again. There are many other better choices. Even as Ch... took our order I was worried because she seemed to be thinking about something else and was rushed. —Justhavinfun
