2006-05-30 09:07:30   They have one of the largest wine selections in Rochester. House of Bacchaus in Irondequoit appears nearly as large. —MrPhil

2006-09-12 04:27:16   According to the D&C this will be purchased by one of the Wegman sisters and incorporated into a Wegman's side project.... Think this is what the vacant Chase Pitkins will become? —JcPop

2006-10-22 08:03:25   The Wal-Mart of liquor stores. Not the greatest atmosphere, terrible lighting, amazing selection. Everybody should come here after their 21st, they'll be amazed. Great prices too. —DanMcKeown

2007-01-26 10:14:18   On my one and only visit to Century, I checked the prices of three wines I buy regularly at Marketview. Century's prices were considerably higher. —RochCon

2007-03-28 10:32:09   Service and selection at Century is better than Marketview, and wine prices are on par for the most part. You will find sale items at either place to be better than list at the other. Century and Bacchus have a much more knowledgable staff, and don't try to push products that the consumer doesn't want (like Marketview tends to do). Prices for liquor is much better at Century. Bacchus is still my favorite wine and spirits shop, as they have a more personable approach, but there are some items I buy only at Century. After way too many bad experiences with pretentious, ignorant personel at Marketview, I no longer will buy from them. —JackPorcello

2007-11-15 21:30:20   Since they reopened after the "Wegmans takeover" the service has improved greatly, the place seems brighter, and the staff has been augmented by the addition of knowledgable and helpful wine specialists. Prices are still the best in town on everything, but they don't have that "discount store" mentality you see at Marketview. They are giving House of Bacchus (which has been up to now first in service in my experience) a run for their money on service now! —JackPorcello

2008-03-10 15:33:21   According to [WWW]this article, Nicole Wegman has applied for a permit to transfer the store to Pittsford Plaza. Christopher O'Donnell (married to Colleen Wegman) would take over the current location. —SaraChristine

2008-05-31 17:29:57   The Pittsford store is nice, well stocked, and from all appearances will do quite well. —MrPhil
