Rochester Downtown |
The Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC), a membership, 501(c)4 business development organization, serves to develop downtown Rochester - principally as a real estate and occupancy think-tank.
RDDC publishes a wealth of data about downtown, its buildings, occupancy, residency, tenancy, vacancy, and activity. They funded a major Urban_Land_Institute study, published summer 2005 and available on their website, on how downtown should adapt to remain vital. The study also recommended RDDC reorganize to assume an active and major role in developing real estate.
RDDC also served as applicant and fiscal partner in Big Picture Rochester's submission for a grant to create and install the photomosaic which now hangs on the SUNY Brockport MetroCenter, at 55 Saint Paul, just one block north of Main St.
“Rochesterdowntown.com was developed jointly by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC) and the Downtown Special Services, Inc., with funding support from the City of Rochester.”1
