2000+ Pages Party
The Rochester Wiki has reached 2,000+ pages. We should celebrate.
Date: Saturday, April 22 2006
Place: The Keg (in the German House), in the South Wedge
5:00 to 7:00 : People interested in the Lead Contributors idea, come sometime in that time range to talk about what we can do to grow and expand the wiki, and make it better.
7:00 to ??? : People interested in hanging out, chatting, and causing a ruckus (or several rucki? or is that Ruckodes? ) and just having a good time.

The 2000 pages party was pretty sweet. Around 10-11 people wandered in, or where there for a while. See Lead Contributors for some of the things we talked about. I was expecting to spend the evening drinking alone, so as far as I'm concerned, it's a smashing success. -FarMcKon

2006-04-14 19:31:36 Can the party be moved to a wheelchair-accessible location such as Tully's in Henrietta? —PeteB
2006-04-14 21:24:11 Peter, it might be good to also send an e-mail off to rochesterwiki@googlegroups.com. Do you know if there is anyplace closer to the city center that? Maybe we could move it to the Spy Bar? What do other people think? —FarMcKon
2006-04-18 05:02:37 With sentiments for keeping the venue closer to city center or even the South Wedge, i know Boulder Coffee Co. has wheelchair accessibility and great ambiance for both a meeting and hanging out. See their calendar. Riffs Wine & Piano Bar in the East End would also work, and serves alcohol for those desperately in need, or at least, in order to party. —JohnLam
2006-04-18 16:50:23 MacGregor's on Gregory is wheelchair-accessible, according to the person on the phone. How about there? BTW - John, I would classify my need as chronic, not desperate. —RottenChester
2006-04-18 20:39:31 I just had another pressing engagement arise but I'll be interested to hear any ideas generated by the party —PeteB
2006-04-19 14:25:25 OK. So plans arn't changing, and we will make sure the next event is more accessable. —FarMcKon
2006-04-19 20:48:16 For privacy, readability, and bandwidth, please don't leave everyone in the CC field of the next accouncement. —ScottVentura
2006-04-20 14:37:27 Scott, yeah, Sorry about that. I know. I realized what I did about 10 seconds too late, and now I've received about 20 messages as punishment. (only about 1/3 of the people I e-mail were CC'd, the rest were BCC'd) I've never needed to CC'd more than 3 people in my life, so (in my opinion) I should get a gimme on this one. I also hit G-mail's sending limit, which is pretty amazing. —FarMcKon
2006-04-20 22:48:50 congrats on the 2000 pages! —MichelleAccurso
