Brandani's is a pizzeria Previously on West Henrietta Road in Brighton. Try the calzone pizza- ricotta and ham, no sauce. Mmm-hmm. They do tend to have strange hours and are closed mid afternoon. Check for a coupon on the Democrat & Chronicle web site. Romeo, Carol, Frank and Pia welcome you!. There was a second location at Park Point at RIT but it closed October 9, 2020. April, 2022, they moved to the corner of West Henrietta Road and Crittenden.

2007-03-07 20:31:29   Their pizza is delicious!! I have had a few different kinds, and there is no stand out, they are all very good. Their crust is delicious, nice and thick, but still doughy and soft. It's perfect! I suggest skipping single slice orders - they are not as good. Their hours are tricky, and I have driven there several times, only to find that they were closed. They are open later on Super Bowl Sunday, of course. —FattyFatFat

2007-03-11 17:37:05   Order yourself a white pizza with sausage and garlic. They use homemade sausage and fresh slices of garlic for a pizza that will knock you out in flavor and potency. —RichardSarkis

2007-03-29 11:42:29   HUGE pizza slices. I had a pepperoni slice and it was delicious and filling. The sweet and sour wings are made with Country Sweet sauce. Mmmmm! —RachelBlumenthal

2007-12-06 21:10:14   This place is great, great pizza, very reasonably priced... only downside is that they only deliver at lunchtime AND it's a $20 minimum for delivery!! Not exactly accomadating in that department, but everything else about that place is great. The pizza is authentic... comparable to pizza that I've eaten in Italy! —EricArdis

2008-03-22 09:25:32   One of the best pizzas in town! Love the new owners! the old ones were mean! Homemade gelato as well! —JohnLance

2008-04-04 11:10:02   Mom & Pop shop with great pizza! Huge super slices at lunch for a reasonable $ and nothing like ordering a big pie for a take-out dinner. LOVE their sausage — homemade and the best! —LizDee

2008-07-14 20:09:03   Funny that no one mentions their italian ice, best in town, as far as I know. —Mcontolini

2008-10-08 18:12:29   Pizza - the best non-chain restaurant pizza I have ever tasted. If you like marinara sauce though, you better ask for extra because their pizza is minimal on the sauce. —JenFromDC

2009-01-22 17:46:51   I wanted to try this place after passing it on my way to work every day for the past three years. My husband and I ordered a medium sausage and mushroom. The pizza came out piping hot and delicious. The thin slices of sausage went perfectly with the mushrooms and perfect amount of sauce. The crust is amazing, I could eat it all on its own. The price was very cheap for such good pizza, and the size of the pizza was a true medium, not a chain store medium that could barely feed two people. All in all, I will be going back here and bringing people who visit from out of town to this restaurant. Maybe next time it will be warm out so we can try the homemade Italian ice and gelato. —CatMagro

2009-11-09 05:23:03   Without a doubt, the best pizza I have ever tasted.

I do agree that if you are a sauce fan, you'll want extra sauce. But to me, a cheese/crust fan, this was absolutely amazing pizza. —NickCassaro

2010-03-05 16:40:03   I have eaten Pizza from Brandinis twice (both times at work events): the first time I thought it was pretty bad, the second time it actually made be nauseous. I'm from the Bronx, have a Sicilian uncle and have had some pretty great pizza in my lifetime...so it really sticks in my throat when I have to pass Brandinis and see their sign, "Best Pizza in the World". In no way is this the best: it's quite bad, even for the sadly mediocre pizza in Rochester.

The closest to NYC pizza in Rochester is at the East Ave. Wegmans. When I can't get that, I opt for Pappa Johns (at least it won't make you ill). —walternmoss

2010-08-11 13:32:25   I work in Henrietta and go here once a week for lunch. All the flavors, textures are right on...a HUGE selection of slices at lunchtime. My suggestion is to have them warm it up in the oven without the tray (brick it) to make it nice and crispy. You will not be disappointed. Also, order a side of bleu cheese for dipping the crust into. I love this pizza. —PersonFace

2010-10-14 07:08:05   They seem to have lots of happy customers so I'll leave it up to them to keep Brandani's busy. I like NYC style pizza and this was definitely not my kind of pizza at all. PIZZA STOP (the BEST NYC style pizza in town) will be my number one destination unless I find a better place although highly unlikely. —KairakuShugisha

2011-04-06 18:45:16   Thick slices, quality toppings, proper proportioning, good variety and friendly staff... If that's your bag, this place fills it. I make special lunch break trips out here from time to time and have yet to be disappointed (or left hungry). —BatGuano

2012-04-06 09:33:29   Hearing so much about this place, I finally had a chance to stop during lunch on a Thursday. The place was packed, and for good reason! Huge slices, that are just the right mix of crispy on the bottom, and doughy on top. Buffalo chicken and spinach artichoke were to die for, but thinking I could eat more than one slice was a mistake. :) Definitely recommend, and wish I'd gone sooner! —JBeez

2012-10-06 23:32:54   Best pizza I ever had. Not in Rochester anymore and I'm reminded each time I order a disappointing pizza. —ncjuppiter
