2005-04-21 It's got a great selection, but the staff can be a bit snobbish. Despite buying comics there monthy for more than a year, I still get "Don't browse, this isn't a Library" comments from the employees from time to time. Plus it's conveniently located right across from California Rollin'. Sushi and comics make a perfect date!

2007-10-27 16:20:17 As the owner of Comics Etc, I take exception to the unfounded comments "Don't browse, this isn't a Library". This just is not true. It isn't said and the one anti-social employee that would occasionally say that is long gone, last seen booing free throw shooters at Razorsharks basketball games. He found his niche! I will not tolerate library comments by employees and the fact that the writer of that silly statement has often read for long periods without buying and without harrassment is a testament to this fact.
I would also like to add that our subscription service is the best in the area, special orders are gladly accepted, and that customers who move out of town always tell us the same thing when they return, regardless of where they now reside. Over and over we hear the same thing. "This is the best comic book store I've ever seen." —AndyBattaglia
2007-12-26 11:16:19 Andy always has fair prices, and there is a %20 discount for regulars. I have popped in every now and then since giving up the Comic Habit years ago, and now that I have to buy comics for the Eldest Daughter, Andy remembers me, and continues to offer me the discount. He also has no problem holding just the 1 comic for my daughter.
Best place for comics. —WilliamBorrelli
2008-04-03 14:41:52 Great shop! I've tried the rest and Comics Etc is the best! Staff and selection can't be beat. I went away to school a few years back, and their subscription service allowed me to continue to receive my books without worry. —DougDavidson
2008-07-06 16:22:45 The staff was nice enough to not only hang onto my debt card once I left it behind one day, but they also gave me a call (since I have a reserve list) to let me know they had it. That's customer service that can't be beat. I wholeheartedly reccomend this store. —JamesIrish
2008-10-28 20:02:52 I have shopped at comic shops everywhere from Florida to Pennsylvania to NYC to Ft. Worth Texas. Comics Etc is without a doubt the best all around comic shop you will ever find. Insane amounts of back issues all over the store. FAIR prices (No $50 for Captain America #25. It was only 8 bucks!), friendly staff and a great owner who knows his customers and his business. I have seen him allow children to "browse" their comics to pretty much their hearts content. And I have found MANY MANY new fun comics just perusing the racks and scanning a few pages every time I go in. I am one of those guys who moved out of state and even though I was 300 miles away and sometimes I would not make it to buy my books for 3 months straight Andy would hold them for me. You cannot find a comic shop owner better to his customers than Andy. —b-rad
2009-02-12 11:01:20 I've shopped at every Comics store in Rochester & Buffalo and several in NYC over the years. Comic's Etc is by far the best in every imagineable way. Great assortment of back issues, cards, figures. Amazing customer service (they will reserve issues for you and help you get issues you may have missed). Place is heaven for true comic collectors. —EricOrologio
2009-12-20 13:14:07 Great store. Friendly, accommodating staff. Great discounts on subscriptions and great discounts for regulars. —TimCrist
2010-05-26 21:38:07 This store is great! Unfortunately for me, it took me 25 years to find it. They have a HUGE selection of everything. I only had a very limited amount of time there but was able to find what I wanted and more. I plan to head back there next week again when I have a little time off of work and can spend, well, the entire day there. And maybe grab some sushi.... My only complaint is that they have so much that their storage has suffered and some of the comics I looked at today had major creases/rips in them so you really need to look at them well before buying if you intend to keep for awhile. —AdamGraham
2011-11-10 15:35:08 Comics Etc. is an absolutely excellent store, by far the friendliest service of any comic shop in the area and Ive been to pretty much every one of them. Their selection of comics and action figures is fantastic (I recently purchased a couple of "Walking Dead" figures there and Im not an action figure collector). The staff and owners are willing to spend time even when busy to have a friendly conversation about comics or just your day in general. I can't say enough about this store. —JasonHalicki
