The font that uncountable Rochester businesses use in their storefronts and marketing materials. I think they're trying to be trendy or something. But seeing it everywhere has really gotten on my nerves; it's not that great of a font, ok? - BenMargolis
The problem is not that Rochester businesses choose to use Papyrus. The problem is the font is overused, and often used in places where Papyrus does not make sense from a design or marketing/communications standpoint. For example, is Papyrus the best font to use for the Village of Scottsville website? I would suggest that many other fonts convey stronger elements of the Village of Scottsville, like "historic" and "quaint", much better than Papyrus does. - AlexanderGartley

2006-10-31 12:20:08 Why do random rants like this get their own page? There has to be a rant page somewhere. This gets my vote for Wiki effort gone to waste. —TravisOwens
2006-11-17 20:33:10 So maybe it was a waste of time, but who cares? It's a wiki, if you don't like it, you're free to change it. —BenMargolis
2007-03-28 14:51:57 Yes, very much over used. Probably because it's built in to Mac OS X. Coincidentally, my only complaint about the otherwise excellent Serenity movie is that the logo uses Papyrus. ugh. —NathanHenderson
