Philly Express was a restaurant in Jefferson Plaza specializing in steak subs. The walls were adorned with photos and shirts from famous cheesesteak restaurants in Philadelphia. It was owned by the same people who owned Philly Steakout. Seasonal outdoor seating was available.
Before being the home to Philly Express, this location was the home of The Pizza Box, a pizzeria.

2007-07-19 14:17:32 I've been wanting to try this place since I first saw the "Now Open" signs. I'm thinking it better have some pretty darned good steak subs to survive so close to 4 other sub shops (Pickle Nick's, Subway, Dibella's, and Amiel's). —AlexanderGartley
2007-07-25 10:26:05 I have gone to the Philly Steakout plenty of times and it is the best steak sub in the ROC!! Get some Cheez Whiz and some Hot Sauce and you are set. The service is excellent and they treat their customers excellent!!! —DavidBrown
2007-07-26 14:46:27 does this place exist? i have driven through that plaza looking for it as it sounds delicious...in the henrietta plaza link above, it says that its next to subway, although about a week ago, this was a cricket.. am i crazy or does this place actually exist? —GreatWhite

It's in Jefferson Plaza, not Henrietta Plaza. I changed the location above to the correct plaza, I guess there was a slight mix-up. Jefferson Plaza is the plaza next to CompUSA Plaza, and across from Southtown Plaza on Jefferson Road. —AlexanderGartley
2007-08-01 15:33:23 I went here for lunch yesterday, and the food was great. I had a cheesesteak sub with peppers, onions and mushrooms, and my dad had a cheesesteak sub with buffalo sauce. We both really enjoyed our food, and would definitely go back. —AlexanderGartley
