2008-09-10 16:18:18   I know someone who worked at Pizza Hut, and he said that nothing on the menu is in any way good for you. I asked him about the greasy crust, and he said that they put a layer of crisco on the bottom of the sheets before cooking the pizza. Yuck! I'm assuming that if NYS bans trans fats like NYC, Pizza Hut will have to pack up and leave. —CatMagro

2008-09-10 16:26:41   Pizza Hut is awful. It was started by the father of the current CEO of Papa Johns. When Pepsi bought Pizza Hut (now spun off into YUM brands) the CEO was canned because he opposed Pepsi's changes. Thats why Papa Johns pizza tastes so similar to Pizza Hut. Both are horrid, IMO. —MrRochester

2009-03-03 18:23:14   Tasty, grubby food. Really horrible for you to eat but still delicious. A pain to order, extremely overpriced, undersized pizza... but it is unique enough to be worth a buy every once in a while. It is kind of artifical/fake like Papa Johns and Dominos, but yet tastes good instead of horrible like those two. If you are looking for an authentic pizza, look elsewhere, but this is satisfying.

The buffet is amazing. Get the coupon out of the phonebook and go for lunch... really just great for the price, especially compared with their overpriced menu otherwise. —Fetou

2009-06-22 12:03:49   To Mr. Rochester: You are mistaken about Pizza Hut & Papa John's. One of the founders of Pizza Hut, Frank Carney, owns quite a few Papa John's franchises, but is not the CEO, and neither are any of his children. —HuffaMoose

2012-06-09 08:37:41   My Mom (inexplicably) got my wife and I a gift certificate to Pizza Hut so, one night, we decided to try it out.

We went to the Empire Boulevard location. I'll try to keep this short... It was a comedy of errors. The staff was overwhelmed by the three sets of patrons (us included) in the dining area. It was funny watching the kid working the pizza conveyor belt trying to manage his way through what probably was one of his last nights employed by Pizza Hut Inc. I can't say enough bad things about this place so I'll leave it at that. It's pretty bad here.

Still, their pizza is better than Domino's. —BatGuano

2012-07-23 14:31:19   I tried to order carry out on Friday 7/20/2012 from one on 3920 Dewey Ave. I was hung up on the first time. I figured it was an accident and called back, sat on hold for ten minutes and then the employee apparently didn't know how to log my order. He cut me off before I completed it and gave me a total. I told him there was more to the order and he put down the phone to ask someone for help and I was hung up on again. I called my wife, who was on her way to pick up the order, and warned her to check the order before she paid. She called to add to the order and confirm the pick up time. After being on hold for over twelve minutes a woman answered and told her they didn't have an order in my name. They hadn't even placed my order! My wife asked what thier problem was and they hung up on her. I went in and asked to see the manager and as it turns out she was the one being so rude to my wife and I. I demanded to be given a contact number for the owner or regional management which she scribbled down. I called and it was her again with more snide remarks. Worst service ever. Don't go to the Dewey Ave Pizza Hut if you want courtesy or competence. And I agree with the other comments about he quality of the food as well. —LarryO
