Red Creek is a waterway that drains much of western Brighton and Henrietta. It is most noticeable as it crosses East River Road and runs through part of Genesee Valley Park before emptying into the Erie Canal just East of the Genesee River. Upstream it fans out through the suburbs and its many branches appear and disappear as they sometimes travel through underground culverts. It can be observed on the RIT campus and near Marketplace Mall.
Red Creek is the namesake of an old bar near the corner of Jefferson Road and Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road.

2024-10-14 08:56:56 The Red Creek Bar/Restaurant/Venue hosted traveling and local musicians during its hay-day. I went to see Joe Bonamassa who was a teenager at the time, accompanied by his father. However, even with a packed house, District Attorney Andrew Meloni shut the planned concert down because of Joe’s age. —MarshallSmith
