Route 20A is one of the few United States highways (other than interstates) in Western New York. Technically it is an Alternate route to a portion of Route 20, generally running 8-12 miles South of it and roughly parallel to it, passing through regional towns such as Geneseo, Lakeville, and Livonia. In the Rochester region Route 20A runs along portions of New York Route 39, Route 63, Route 15A, and Route 64. It has a major intersection with Interstate 390 near Conesus Lake.
