Exchange Street is the continuation of Exchange Boulevard south of Ford Street. Along with South Plymouth, it is one of two parallel thoroughfares that give the PLEX neighborhood its name. Exchange Street is primarily residential and lined with single-family homes built between the 1890s and the 1930s. There are also a few old warehouses and light industrial buildings. Exchange runs very close to the Genesee River and offers easy access to the Genesee River Trail. Riverview Place is a notable residential street that splits off Exchange.
