Route 386 is a road running primarily through suburbs and rural land. In places it is quite commercial as along parts of Elmgrove Road and Chili Avenue. In other places it is locally known as Coldwater Road, Westside Drive, and Scottsville-Chili Road.
Major intersections include Route 31, Route 531, Route 33, Interstate 490, Route 33A, Route 383 and Route 252.
