Suggested Tour Itineraries
Scroll this page for day-by-day trips around Rochester and beyond, including typical touristy activities, seasonal hints, sports and worship, and starting points for more info. Rochester is a mid-sized city where you are unlikely to get caught in traffic. You may need to drive an hour to see some popular regional sites, but you can keep yourself busy in the city or nearby suburbs. Public transit is available, but it is not as prevalent in major cities. Gas prices are "average", compared to the rest of the USA. Local restaurants are gradually incorporating the national trend of online reservations, try Opentable or Tock. Ride services such as Uber and Lyft are available.

2024-11-03 12:59:37 This is an interesting page, IMO. The last edit (before me adding the comment section) was 2017, so I would like to give this some thought, since a location in each of the first two groups was briefly closed in 2024 due to failed health inspections. —GaryGocek
2024-11-11 23:53:08 I added a "sports mix". All the teams I mentioned are men's teams except the SU link. I invite someone to fill in links to women's teams. —GaryGocek
2024-11-12 14:34:44 Both the men's and women's ice hockey teams at RIT play in Division I. —markjackson
